Rambles...

I have so much in my head and I fear there is no room inside for anything else. I need an entire day to just write everything down and a second day to just get everything done. Too bad it doesn't really work that way!

My friend posted on facebook that she didn't like chocolate oranges. That concept is so foreign to me. I'm fairly certain I could survive on them.

I love Pinterest. I now need to remember to actually REFERENCE Pinterest when I'm looking for something. In related news: I hooked Isaac on Pinterest. I don't know how to feel about this.

Sammy has completely outgrown all of his pants that I bought him in September. Why can you buy husky and slim little boy pants but not tall? ALL of his pants, minus his skinny jeans, are above his ankle. And I just had to order him a new pair of boots given that he was coming home with an indention in his heel from his old pair. I need him to stop growing!

Isaac's watching Brian Regan in the back ground. It's making my thoughts all jumbled and it's tough to type through the laughter.

If you had told me 10 years ago that these are the types of articles I would not only be reading, but reading and LOVING? I would have called you a liar. As it is, go. Read. Fascinating.

How much do I wish I were in NYC right now? SO MUCH.

(when your mind's made up, swell season)

  1. Orange only though. I have no use for the other flavors.

I love Pinterest and unhealthy amount.

I find jeans for my tall skinny kids at the Levi outlet. It's the ONLY place we can get the right length AND waist. For Emily and Jaxon. And they last longer than the oh so rare less expensive alternatives.

I need to check out Brain Regan. I hear great things but have never seen for myself.

Domesticity. Can I get an AMEN!!! But you probably knew that about me.

  2. Trish - all of his jeans this round were Levis. Can you get 6 slim in different lengths at the outlet? Because I WILL drive to Park City should I have to!

Brian Regan is hilarious. We've seen him live twice. And would happily do so again. You can stream him on Netflix, if you do that sort of thing.

  3. The last ones we bought were 5 slim and it was in Park City. There was a regular (?) and tall or long option. I forget which now and we've handed them down already. Then we focused on uniforms for school. So right now he is completely jeanless.
There is a Levi store in Jordan Landing too. I'm not sure if it is an outlet or not though.

I do that sort of thing. I'll look for him on Netflix. ;)

  4. Ok. His are slim 6, but I don't think we had the long option at Kohls. I will continue to look. And DARN. We may need to go to Park City. I'm so sad...

  5. I, too, do not get the dislike of chocolate oranges. MMMMMMMMM!

We're in the same boat with the jean situation. Porter's totally wearing floods!

  6. Yeah, Park City during the holidays? Miserable experience. ;)

  7. When my son was that size, in order to get the length right, I had to go up a size and actually sew darts in the back going down to underneath the rear pockets to make them skinny enough (yes, even buying slims). Even still he would outgrow them about the same time that they would wear out. So, I didn't buy more expensive brands. Right now I buy him 30x34. I stopped trying to find the 29x34 size. That was impossible. The 30 inch waist is still a bit big, but he can wear a belt!

Anyway, I feel your pain x5. At least now they are doing the adjustable waistbands. That helps.

  8. I'm with Camille on chocolate oranges... yummmmmy! And just added that domesticity blogginess to my reader. I love to feel empowered even if I just end up reading about it.

  9. The adjustable waistbands DO help. I don't think we've ever let them out, though! He always has two flaps hanging out of his pants...

Lora - same. Reading is power. Right? RIGHT?!

  13. I just discovered Land's End jeans. Slim fit, plus the waist is adjustable. Spencer has been wearing floods for three months and LE is the first brand that is actually long enough for him (he has about a 23 inch waist and 26 inch inseam). Last time I looked they were on sale. Also loving their khakis---you can choose your own waist and inseam!

  14. Seriously. I would have never even thought of them. He's always been tall and skinny, right? Thanks, Amy!
