Friday Random

-Castle did NOT disappoint. Now I have Chuck and Castle to look forward to on Mondays. Who said Mondays are a bad thing?

-I saw this baby name: Ranenrasehtha on the internet yesterday. Seriously. What does it mean? "Those aren't even my letters!"

-Why do people encourage Beyonce? I think it should stop and someone should tell her that she really shouldn't sing. That new 'song' of hers? Oi. I want to jump off a cliff whenever I hear it. Why oh why have people embraced it so whole-heartedly?

-Did I ever mention that a couple of weeks ago Sharon and Jacob and Isaac and I went and saw Brian Regan? I can't remember. Seriously funny, though.

-I got the best email from one of my best friends this week. I miss her and it made me sad we don't live closer.

-It's Friday the 13th. My best Friday the 13th memory is the one and only time I did something wrong while I was in Jr. High / High School and got kicked off campus before I caught my bus to go home. This was a big deal because I didn't live anywhere NEAR the school. We're talking a 30min bus ride, people. Scared me straight. Ish.

-I bought a few things for Sammy for summer yesterday. Included are these. And this. And this.

-Ring of the Week:

Isn't this awesome? I got it for $5 at the Farmer's Market last summer. The only bad thing is it's very bendy and I can't put my hand in my pocket without the bow going all wonky. Heh. It's very bendy...

-Song of the Week:

(john legend, slow dance - has this been a song of the week for me before? I don't remember...john legend is my have no shame guilty pleasure. Love him)

Bumpiness Take Two

Did I mention I have cancer? No? Because I totally do. At least 14,000 kinds that come and go randomly thoughout the day. It's rough.

I can be, maybe sometimes, a little bit of a hypochondriac. Sometimes. Leg pain? Totally a blood clot moving to my heart as we speak. Headache? Stroke. Hangnail? Rare fingernail cancer, of course. Duh!

Irrational fear number two would definitely be that I'm moments away from dropping dead from something random (and, most likely, rare). Yup. I'm a fun one...isn't Isaac lucky?

***On a different note, I feel my stories are getting boring. I know I have more in me, but I'm stumped. Anyone want to know anything about me? Let me know...***

Because I Have No Shame vol 13

I've always loved this photo of me. Bonus is that it's not so scandalous...nice break! This was sometime spring-ish 1994. We were over at our guy friends' apartment. I was dating the BFW (or it was just before we started dating). Anyway, this was his apartment. We hung out there a lot, despite the smell and suspect bathroom. I'm not sure of the particulars surrounding this photo, but I do note that my sleeve is completely wet and the guy has a mouth full of jello. I'm thinking food / water fight of some sort. Really, I would have thought water fight even if my sleeve wasn't wet! I was always hobbling home from their apartment wet or disheveled or, on one occasion, with ripped jeans in places that, I'm sure, weren't approved to wear on campus (it was an ill-fated wrestling match...I know at one point I WAS winning!).

On a side note, if the boy in the picture happens to blog surf and come upon this and recognizes his profile, send me an email, dude. You are a hard man to track down!

Are You Ready?

An exciting week here, folks. I've banned all talk of the economy for at least a week to see how that improves my mood. Hard to stay away from the news, but I'll try!

It's snowing. Again. After being warm...ish and spring-like (and having all the snow finally gone from my yard!) we had 6+ inches dump last night (and still snowing!). Sammy's already been out to help Daddy shovel. It's like the dead of winter with a time change! Here's hoping the weatherman with his teases of spring by week's end is right. I'm supposed to be having lunch with an old friend tomorrow, so I'm hoping the right comes a little quicker than week's end!

My sister and I went to a bridal shower for my almost niece-in-law on Friday. I just adore her and couldn't be happier for my nephew. I can't believe their wedding is in just a couple of weeks!

My sister and I also went and, uh, stimulated the economy on Saturday. A full day of IKEA, HomeGoods and Target shopping. My car was so full...

And, saving (hopefully) the best for last of the reasons why this is an exciting week...Castle premieres tonight. I sincerely apologized to Isaac last night for being in love with another man. Thankfully, he was very understanding...
