I NEVER...

Things I swore I'd never do:
-marry anyone from Idaho (especially small town southeast Idaho)
-raise my kid in Utah
-be one of "those" moms (substitute whatever you feel you need to in " ")

Things I'm currently doing:
-married to someone from southeast Idaho
-raising my kid in Utah
-am one of "those" moms

That sounds about right...I've since learned to never swear; only hope!

5 clever comments:

  1. We should all start swearing we would never do the things that we actually want to do. Then all of our dreams would come true!

Oh, and you are totally one of those moms. I am totally one of those moms, too, just a different one.

  2. Right? Here. I'll start. I SWEAR I'll never get my book published...

And I think we're all one of 'those' moms in our own special ways!

  3. You know you should NEVER say never! Funny how life works out, huh?

  4. That's too funny. Maybe you just need to get creative with your "nevers." See, I've always said I'd rather live in China than Utah. So far, it's worked---I've never lived in China OR Utah!

  5. I think my "marry anyone from Idaho one" was the best. It involved LOTS of discussion and adamant foot stomping and the strong will of a 20 year old stuck in small town Idaho for college. It was DRAMATIC and FIRM. When I met my ex and he was from L.A...WooHoo! I was relieved! And then came Isaac who is not only from small town Idaho, but from the KING of small towns small town Idaho. Every stereotype, every detail you can imagine in a parody of small town Idaho? He's from there.

It's definitely the biggest of my nevers...
