Friday Random

-Wrong that I find this funny in the "boy was that stupid" funny kind of way? (no offense to any of my alum friends!)

-I abhor April Fool's Day and wish we could abolish the tradition. It's so mean spirited.

-Sammy has a cold. I can't begin to tell you how much that sucks.

-I've done woefully little this week. I didn't think it was a bad week, but I'm suddenly rethinking that.

-Isaac taught Sammy to say, "click it or ticket" and now it's his new go-to phrase. Added to 'freaky deaky', 'fluoride, take it easy' and 'ummmmmm...what's the word...ummmm....no' (said with his fingers drumming against his chin) and you have a pretty typical conversation with my kid lately.

-Speaking of Sammy talk, I had my head in my hands and he came up to me and said, "What's the matter little guy?" like it was the most normal phrase in the world. What a goober.

-Ring of the week:

This ring? Actually one of my mom's old earrings. Heh.

-Song of the week:

(red flag, russian radio...my favorite by them is a song called rain, which I couldn't find. Sadly.)

Oh, the love I feel for Red Flag...

Ha! Sammy is so cute/funny. I might have to start saying that..."What's the matter, little guy?" to everyone I know. Sorry he's not feeling well.

So you would have a matched set of rings then?

No, actually. It was a loose one with the back broken off that was always in her ring box. I don't know why it was even ever there!

That's funny and also sad.

I'm not a fan of April Fool's Day either. My kids wish I were more into it. Our neighbor makes a big deal of it with their meals. They have lunch for breakfast, breakfast for lunch, dessert for dinner and dinner for dessert. How does that have anything to do with April Fool's Day?

Colds totally suck. Children with colds suck more.

You couldn't have done any less than me. Seriously, we should compare notes. You'll feel so much better, I promise.

I just got the "fluoride, take it easy"--ha! My kids started singing "Stove Top, take it Easy Mac" one day as we were pulling out of our garage (the car faces the food storage shelves).

He's hilarious. At least he's not saying, "Buck up, little camper."

Way to repurpose!

I don't think I'm very familiar with Red Flag. I'll have to educate myself.

Sharon actually taught him how to sing Slow Ride and it just kinda morphed from there. Now every night when he takes his fluoride tablet...

Oh, I think you would enjoy Red Flag. LOVE them.

Samese is my new favorite language.

That ear"ring" is cool.

I'm pretty sure you did way more than me this week.

So I haven't been reading blogs for awhile. I had alot of catching up to do. I don't think I have ever bought a box of girl scout cookies in my life. Maybe I will go for a goal and never buy a box. I'm just not that excited to eat them. Sammy sounds like he is pretty dang cool. Lately I have turned into a TV junky. Sad thing is I don't follow anything regularly. I need to give the DVR a better work out. I think this cold weather that goes on forever is to blame.
