So, when you go that route, what you get is the coolest, BIGGEST plaid looking brown and orange, no quilt batting to make it froufy fabric ribbon board. Like this.

Right? It's huge. And perfect. And cheap! The frame was $3 at the thrift store, the material was hand me down from my mom (funky patterned 70s polyester white) and the buttons and ribbon - under $10. Sweet!
The only problem is, is that I had it made to go behind my door leading to the garage (to put coupons and tickets and whatever else usually clutters a fridge) and so no one will get to see it unless they specifically look for it. But it still makes me happy.

And, a bonus Sammy picture run because...well, because. See for yourself.

(check out the tie...)

(looking all cute, ready for church)
ah, crap. I left a button missing on what I pictured as the bottom (for putting bigger things) but I didn't mention that to you and now it's on the top and just looks like I missed a button...
ReplyDeleteLove the album cover pose.
So awesome! All of it.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I didn't know there was a top & bottom and honestly didn't notice the button until just now - reading your comment. I had to go over & look!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I want one! Might Shaz be willing to post with some instructions for the less creatively inclined?
ReplyDeleteSammy is sure a cutie. I love the tie.
Are you freakin' kidding me? Sammy is incredibly chic.
ReplyDeleteNow I want a frame for my ribbon board or maybe I can find someone to make a new one for me.
That board is so stinkin' cute! :) I love Sammy's tie, very handsome little boy! :)
ReplyDeleteI am coveting your board and those big blue eyes Sammy has!
