1. We met with an accountant today. I'm fairly certain my head exploded. I knew running our own business could get complicated, but sheesh! For a girl who went into English and journalism and took her last math class junior year...Hmmm. If I screw up can they lock me away for stupidity? Let's hope not and hope the Quicken gods are smiling!
2. My sister asked me if I had decided about Sammy's therapy. I still don't know. Unfortunately, all I can see is a boy who is behind. I hate that. I want to be able to see his little accomplishments, but forest / trees, all that. It's hard to say how many words he has now because I honestly don't hear the same things others hear. Or pretend to hear. I'm still suspicious that they are just saying they hear things to pacify me!
3. We are speaking in church on Sunday. I hate speaking and will be thrilled when it's over. Let me teach any day of the week, just don't make me talk in Sacrament! Isaac is getting a calling and I assume I'm not far behind. My visiting teacher called today and, because the Lord hates me, it's the one woman that has caused me sprained eyeballs and teeth marks in my tongue. Sigh. I'm sure if I thought about it hard enough, I'm supposed to learn to love visiting teaching through all of these..."experiences", but He sure is making it difficult.
4. My mother's day present came last night. Isn't it pretty? Yeah, I thought so too.
5. Our garden is growing (see here for pics). Once we get a break in the rain, we need to plant round two. Who knew gardening and the thought of canning it all would make me excited?

Happy Mondays...I Mean Tuesday
My sister, her husband, Isaac, Sammy and I felt the need for a Target trip yesterday. So, armed with my sister's road trip mix on the MP3 player, we headed south to the lovely town of Layton.
I had great shoes on (this is for you, Diane!):
The men folk waiting for us to join them:
We parked next to this car. Notice all the empty egg cartons. We were insanely curious and theories abound:

Perfect weather, great food, good shopping and stocking up until my next Target fix. Today...it's raining. Slow, steady downpour. I had forgotten how much I missed the rain. Life is good!

Something Light
I was watching Music and Lyrics on HBO this morning (again) and thought a lighthearted favorite song post may help clear the air!
I'm not a huge, huge Cure fan, but I've always liked them a lot. They have several songs that could fit nicely on this list, but the one I've picked is Pictures of You. This song firmly represents high school to me. My friend and I were obsessed with this song and would work the lyrics into any number of conversations. We sat in the same desk for Algebra but during back to back periods and would leave notes for one another - mine, deep and meaningful; his, not so much. Every dance we attended, this song was ours, no matter what.
It still is a favorite. Not only does it bring back fun memories, it's just a great song. It seems to nicely sum up high school for me. Hmmm. That should be much sadder than it is...
